Fun messing about with the prompt 'scale'. From a session 'Wild Art Journaling' with Moyra Scott, which is all about finding your way through the process, rather than starting out with a goal in mind. It's very freeing as there can be no mistakes; if you don't like something just cover it up and carry on. Surprising directions can be followed and connections found. It's a great synaptic workout.
I could not resist the picture of tiny pumpkins. This is what you can do with words. October will roll around every year for the rest of my life and I will think of Bo Burnham and his deft skewering of a very specific kind of visual culture.
Recognition is such a powerful tool and a fundamental element of so much comedy. It bonds an audience as the collective 'yes' goes up. It cements a link between a comedian and their audience as that which was seen but not recognised is revealed, maybe with an elaborate flourish or maybe with the merest inflection. That's the joy!
